Mood Really Tired
Music "Songbird" Eva Cassidy
Romeo and Juliet is done. What a beautiful experience. I cant really talk about that right now because I'm having stupid dreams again and I can't sleep. I wake up feeling so sad inside.

Caitcat and I
Mood Excited
Music "Feed the Tree" -Belly
Have you ever wondered about the recent shift in dramatic presentation away from the customary iterative productions where the fourth wall is regularly deconstructed? Does the shift toward more codified productions, with barriers established between the presented world and the actual environment, create a more immersive experience?
One more weekend to go then FREEDOM! I was stressing last nights show, lots of people who's opinions I care about decided to show. I was feeling a pretty strong surge of butterfly-in-the-gut-I'mgonnapuke but after the first couple scenes I completely lost track of who was in the audience and fell completely into the show. I was there man, in the moment, living it (<--on purpose hippy liberal leftist commy coffee-house poet druggy faggot impression)! And I dont mean the kissy stuff either, I meant that I felt the honesty and truth as I was 'dialed into' the scene. Hell as long as Stephanie and Gina liked it, I'm grateful (not the least, because of the amount of patience theyve had for me for skipping all those months of rehearsals for THEIR show while I concentrated on Chris's show).
Caitycat loves me!
Mysterious plans for the (deleted--she's here!) are still forthcoming but can't say much cause Caity still reads this post sometimes ...I think. She'd be crazy to but I wouldnt put it past her.
Ok off to dinner at Shana and Genes.
oh yeah MARCUS IS HERE!! WHEEEEE!!! (God he's gay)

Romeo and Juliet-- AGAIN
Mood Cold-ish
Music "Vaga Luna" Luciano Pavarotti
Nice couple of days off but the hell that is this show continues in two days. Not to mention trying to juggle James' "Damn Yankee's" to avoid that directors displeasure.
Honestly she's been more than patient with me, I've been to one rehearsal in approximately 2 months!
I swore to myself that I would take this break and now that its almost here I cant stand the wait.
9 month hiatus with nothing but voice lessons (which sounds gay, Iknow), ballet (which sounds even gayer, I know), and school (which IS gay, I know). I will revisit my priorities next year sometimes.
Oh yeah, and fulfilling my duties as a Zealot in www.addictguild.com .
Hyborean age here we come...

Wow its been, like, years!
Mood Relaxed
Music Boheme: Che Gelida Manina
So opening weekend is over for Romeo and Juliet. Finally. I've been a basket case for the last week. This opening seems different from other openings because I really care about this show. I care about the story and that its told right. I care about the actors in it and I care that the audience will get it.
I hate to admit it when Chris (the director) is right, but he was. His vision worked. His casting (except for Ro-tard-eo) seems to have worked. And aside from various sprained bones, slight concussions, and swellings/bruises, I wouldnt trade this experience for the world.
We made the audience 'feel'.
It doesnt get much better than that.
